Which tests and which students are included in the MAP Growth Comprehensive Data File and the Combined Data File?
Both the Combined and Comprehensive Data Files are ordered through the Data Export Scheduler in MAP Growth Reports. Users with the District Assessment Coordinator or School Assessment Coordinator MAP roles can access the Data Export Scheduler.

For more information on generating data exports, refer to:
For information on what data is included for the students and tests, refer to Data Export Field Descriptions in the MAP Help Center (login required).

Comprehensive Data File (CDF):

The Comprehensive Data File is a compressed (.zip) file that contains two spreadsheets: StudentbySchool.csv and AssessmentResults.csv. It can optionally contain three additional spreadsheets of information: ClassAssignments.csv, StudentTestAccommodations.csv, or ProgramAssignments.csv.
  • Includes student information for all rostered students with valid test events.
  • Includes only Growth, Screening (2+), and high school math test types.
  • Includes all valid tests of the correct type. Valid tests are tests that meet all of the following criteria:
    • Complete
    • Not excluded from reports
    • Not invalidated due to rapid guessing, duration, SEM, or RIT out of range
    • Within the district's term start date and end date
      • Tests within the term dates but outside the test window will appear in this file.
  • Students must have all required reporting attributes. Refer to Required student reporting attributes.
  • Includes student information for all schools where a student is enrolled.

It does not include:
  • Skills Checklist and K-2 Screening test types

Combined Data File:

The Combined Data File contains a subset of data from the Comprehensive Data File formatted in one easy to use file. It does not contain the optional information (student class assignments, student program information, or student test accommodation) that can be ordered with the Comprehensive Data File.
  • Includes student information for all rostered students that have at least one growth test event.
  • Includes only Growth, Screening (2+), and End-of-Course test types.
    • Note: For the Combined Data File Screening (2+) tests will not show if the student also has a matching Growth test, e.g. Screening: Reading 2-5 and Growth: Reading 2-5.
  • Includes only tests that are valid and within the district test window. These are tests that meet all the following criteria:
    • Complete
    • Not excluded from reports
    • Not invalidated due to rapid guessing, duration, SEM, or RIT out of range
    • Within the district's test window start date and end date
  • Students must have all required reporting attributes to be included. Refer to Required student reporting attributes.
  • Includes student information for school of record only.

It does not include:
  • Skills Checklist and K-2 Screening test types
  • Tests that are outside the district test window
  • Student information for schools other than the student's school of record
