Do I have to assign accommodations to a student every time they test?

You must assign the accommodations to students who need them in each testing session. The accommodations don’t follow the student from session to session. Within the same session, however, accommodations will stay assigned to the student even if the session is closed and reopened, or the student’s test is suspended and resumed. If you assign the student a new test in the same testing session, most accommodations will remain assigned. The exception is text-to-speech, which you’ll need to re-assign if you change the student’s test assignment.
