How to designate a school of record.

Note:  The information in this article applies to Manual rostering for NWEA MAP Growth only. Please visit MAP Growth Rostering Resource Central for information on rostering with the updated HMH Rostering Service.

Note: This can be resolved by roster import if the incorrect school of record is imported again using an overwrite file. This will only work if the student should not be rostered to the incorrect school of record.
Example: Student is assigned to School A and School B. Student has School B set as school of record but should have School A as the school of record and should not be rostered to School B. Partner imports overwrite roster for School B that does not include the student but includes the entirety of School Bs roster as to not unnecessarily remove correct roster data. Once posted, student is removed from class assignment and school assignment for School B but maintains School A assignments. School A is now the School of record.

Take the following steps. These steps require the District Proctor, School Assessment Coordinator, or Data Administrator role:

  1. Search for the student in Manage Students.
  2. Select the student and choose View/Update.
  3. In the Terms section, select the term you want to modify and click View/Update Term.
  4. In the Schools section, verify that the schools listed are correct for the student. If necessary, remove schools or add additional schools.
  5. Once the school list is correct, select the school you wish to set as the school of record.
  6. Click Designate as School of Record
  7. Click Update Term.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Click Submit to save your changes. You should get a message saying that the student profile has been updated successfully.

Changes take up to 24 hours to appear on reports.
