The amount of instructional time scheduled between one test window and the next will vary for each district. NWEA recommends allowing at least 9 weeks of instructional time to allow for a meaningful growth measurement.
MAP Growth users are able to specify how many weeks of instruction precede a specific test window, allowing you to get the most precise growth and percentile data in your reports. See Date Setup Before Testing for instructions.
Note: Due to variations in the selected instructional weeks, your reports may display information that is different from other generic documentation, such as the 2020 MAP Normative Data sheet. Generic NWEA documentation uses 4, 20, and 32 weeks of instruction for fall, winter, and spring testing respectively and 36 instructional weeks for the next academic year.
